Program Description

Event Details

Florida is home to multiple species of shorebirds and seabirds that live and breed on our sandy beaches. However, with an increase in coastal development, these species are losing important dune and beach habitat they need to raise their chicks. With loss of habitat, they are forced to find alternative nesting locations on gravel rooftops. Join Holley Short, Shorebird Program Manager of Audubon Florida to learn about how rooftops can provide a different kind of habitat for shorebirds and seabirds during the breeding season.
