Beginning Basket Weaving - Round Reed Basketry

This class is an introduction to the art and craft of Round Reed Basketry. This class will be taught with a pre-drilled wooden base, woven with natural and hand dyed reed.

Theresa will begin the class with information about this particular weaving material and some vocabulary. She will bring cutting tools to assist with trimming the reed as you proceed toward your finished product! 

You will receive an individual kit. In your kit there will be enough reed to create one basket by the end of this class.

She will lead you step by step from the base with vertical "spokes", to "randing" or "twining" weavers in and out of the spokes, to create your individual basket.
